SUMMARY OF PROJECT PROGRESS
(JAN–DEC 2025)
✓ Upgrade of the digital infrastructure
• Complete redevelopment of the INFRA-ART platform using a modern, modular architecture (Next.js frontend, .NET 8 REST API backend, Strapi CMS, PostgreSQL).
• Full data migration and reconfiguration of the system to meet FAIR/TRUST principles and EOSC interoperability requirements.
• UX/UI optimization and the creation of an expanded, user-friendly graphical interface aligned with the newly implemented functionalities.
• Preparation for the public launch scheduled for late December 2025.

✓ Expansion of the database with new (multi)spectral datasets
• Acquisition of more than 2,000 new spectra across FTIR, XRF, Raman, SWIR and LIBS techniques.
• Analysis of over 1,200 new samples, including reference materials and new sample categories – composite samples.
• Reaching a major milestone: over 1,000 high-quality reference materials now included in the INFRA-ART Spectral Library.
• Partial integration of newly acquired datasets, with full data ingestion to continue immediately after the live launch of the updated application.

✓ Development of open-access and data governance policies
• Comprehensive update and extension of data management policies in alignment with FAIR/TRUST principles.
• Strengthening of the INFRA-ART infrastructure according to recommendations from RDA, FAIR-IMPACT and EOSC, and adoption of international best practices. Current FAIR score of 92% (according to F-UJI).
• Participation in the FIDELIS Network and preparation for future CoreTrustSeal certification.

✓ Design and development of online analytical tools
• Design and development of three advanced analytical tools integrated into the new platform: (1) Metadata-based advanced search engine, (2) XRF elemental-based search engine, (3) FTIR peak-based search engine.

✓ Design and development of educational and training resources
• Launch of the INFRA-ART Blog platform (June 2025).
• Publication of 10 articles covering FAIR data management, applied spectroscopy, and materials research, along with 6 knowledge-clip video materials.
✓ Dissemination of results and visibility enhancement
• Participation in three international conferences and delivery of one invited lecture.
• Preparation of two ISI articles, currently under peer review.
• Ongoing outreach and communication through multiple channels: LinkedIn, Zenodo, 4 newsletter issues.
• Active involvement in support actions provided by RDA TIGER, FIDELIS and FAIR-IMPACT.



✓ Impact and growth of the user community
• Significant increase in the number of new users, driven by improved interoperability and alignment of the infrastructure with international and EOSC standards.
• Enhanced global visibility through registration of the INFRA-ART database in additional international registries and catalogues (FAIRsharing, OpenDOAR, ROAR, etc.).
• Establishment of a data-transfer agreement with Wiley Science Solutions, extending INFRA-ART’s impact into the private sector.
